Why a script helps
When someone asks about pet transport, they are usually thinking about trust, timing, and safety. A script helps you cover the important details without sounding scattered.
The goal is not to sound robotic. The goal is to sound prepared.
Opening script
"Absolutely, I can help you figure out whether this ride is a fit. I offer private pet transportation for appointments like vet visits, grooming, daycare, boarding, and similar local trips. I just need a few details so I can quote it correctly and make sure the ride is safe for your pet."
Intake questions
- What type of appointment is this?
- What is the pickup address and destination?
- What date and time do you need?
- Is this one-way, round-trip, or wait-and-return?
- Any anxiety, escape risk, bite history, or carsickness?
- Does the pet need a carrier, harness, crate, or special handling?
Explaining the quote
"Based on the distance, appointment type, timing, and handling needs, the quote is [amount]. That includes pickup, private transport, updates, and handoff. If there is wait time beyond the included window, I will let you know before additional charges apply."
Closing the booking
"If you would like to book it, I will send the intake form and confirmation details. Once that is complete, your appointment window is reserved."
A clear close helps the client know exactly what happens next.
